Tuckaleechee Retreat Center (TRC) serves as the Global Headquarters and Missionary Training Center for CBM, while also providing a place of rest and refreshment for churches, groups, pastors, missionaries, couples, and individuals in the beauty of God's creation in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.
Since acquiring the property in 2000, CBM has established TRC as a central gathering place for ministry, equipping, and spiritual renewal — especially for the CBM family throughout the eastern United States and beyond.
TRC is the hub for CBM ministry operations and leadership development. Throughout the year, CBM hosts key training and fellowship events including:
TRC provides a peaceful setting for pastors, missionaries, families, church groups, and other guests to step away from the demands of daily life and spend intentional time with the Lord and with family.
TRC is located in Townsend, Tennessee, nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains — just outside the National Park and only 20 minutes from Cades Cove. Surrounded by natural beauty, guests have access to:
Pigeon Forge (Dollywood, Splash Country) is 30 minutes away. Gatlinburg and Sevierville are also within a short drive.
TRC can accommodate over 100 guests across seven cabins and lodges, making it ideal for church retreats, family reunions, ministry teams, high school or college retreats, corporate training events, and more. Many groups have returned year after year, calling TRC their "home away from home" for decades.

Most days of the year, at least one pastor or missionary family is staying on the property — seeking quiet time with the Lord and quality time with family in the solitude of the mountains.
To serve as many as possible, TRC offers a tiered pricing system:
Tier 1: First pastor/missionary to book a given date receives the deepest discount. Additional tiers allow others to stay while still supporting the ministry. This structure keeps TRC accessible while sustaining it as a ministry resource.
